Hello! My name is Demi Souffront and I am the face behind DIART. I want to tell you a little about my story and how it all started…
I am currently 26 years old, I am a sister, wife, friend, mother and I am from the Isla del Encanto.
From a very young age, everything that had to do with the arts always caught my attention because in one way or another I was always involved in them.
When I graduated from my fourth year, I decided to enter the UPR of Carolina and (after great indecision) I ended up choosing to do my Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design and Decoration. Which I practiced for 5 years with a home design and decoration store.
If you have been with me since the beginning of my page, you will remember that at first I dedicated myself to making decorative paintings using different techniques: “String Art” and “Wood Burning” or also known as Pyrography.
My paintings took me to many cultural nights with my aunts in Canóvanas. I participated in several Relay for Life events and even made recognition boxes for Relay for Student Life in 2018.
What an adventure!
Little by little I put the paintings and everything I was working on on hold due to my two full-time jobs: Designer and mom.
In February 2023 something happened that took me by surprise, I lost my job, which helped me support my home. That's when I decided to give myself the opportunity that no one would ever give me... to pursue my dreams!
Since I started my business, I have lived a beautiful adventure. Although I am an interior designer and offer digital design and decoration services, I decided to change my focus and start creating hand-painted murals. This opportunity has allowed me to transform various spaces, including the reception of Casa Bacardí, the executive lounge of a car dealer, the mixology room of Get Shopped PR in Old San Juan, the Bliss Celebrations PR celebration store and the booth of Skin Lab PR aesthetics.
In addition to these commercial projects, I have also had the opportunity to work on a large number of residential projects, ranging from double bedrooms, bathrooms and halls to baby and children's rooms, dining rooms, living rooms, among others. Without a doubt, the creation of murals is the main line of my entrepreneurship and it is what I am most passionate about.
In order not to leave everything on the walls I wanted to extend my art and creativity towards other projects, although murals continue to be my strong line, when they are on pause I dedicate my time to making aromatic candles, home accessories and now I find myself focused on the creation of stickers and unique designs for shirts without limiting myself to any gender, they will be designed for men, women and children.
With my art I hope to go far and continue transforming spaces or products that can create special moments in the lives of my clients.
